I am taking a lovely stuffed whale (shaped just like Blowy) to a new grand nephew back in CT, and thought I'd put the book with it. I was born in 1942 and my amazing grandmother, Margaret Heussler Bosco, who was the head of the Literature Section, of the Westport Woman's Club gave it to me for my fifth birthday. Your grandfather had come to speak to her group, and of course copies were sold following the presentation. So glad I found this lovely site, and I will keep looking for a more"gently worn" copy of Blowy for Zachary in Woodbury. If all the houses where he supposedly slept only hosted him for one night, he would have needed to live to be 150 years old to do all that sleeping. We have the same problem with Abe Lincoln here in Illinois. Seems he slept everywhere. <br />Love the blog and the Dating Game reference.
